Cadillac Soul is the meeting of four passionate musicians united by a single vision: to deliver an authentic and powerful musical experience. Their chemistry and diverse influences from classic rock and blues to rock ’n’ roll, disco and country shape a distinctive sound that resonates across generations. Each member brings their own background and inspiration, creating a fusion where strength and sensitivity coexist. Michel Brassard — Drums
From an early age, Michel has lived and breathed music. He studied at the Conservatory, continued with Jazz in college and perfected his art at university with a focus on percussion. With over 25 years of experience, he masters both sheet music and playing by ear, fueled by a deep passion for rock and blues. His discipline and daily practice make him the rhythmic backbone of the group.
On stage, Michel brings infectious energy and a solid groove that moves the crowd. His versatility and experience with different bands allow him to adapt to any setting while staying authentic. His love for music shines through every performance, making him one of the pillars of Cadillac Soul’s power and cohesion.
Laurent Baralla — Lead Guitar
A passionate self-taught musician, Laurent has been playing guitar for over 30 years. Inspired as a child by family vinyls of AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, he developed a powerful and expressive style. With more than 20 years of stage experience in France, he thrilled audiences across the Marseille rock scene before settling in Quebec. His pursuit of the perfect sound and love of sharing music naturally led him to Cadillac Soul.
On stage, Laurent stands out for his constant search for authenticity and attention to detail. Each solo is a chance to forge a strong connection with the audience, blending raw energy with musical sensitivity. Driven by the desire to give his best, he infuses Cadillac Soul with a unique intensity that elevates the group’s blues and rock repertoire.
Sonia Riel — Vocals
Sonia’s voice is both warm and powerful, capable of channeling the soul of rock and blues. With solid stage experience, she has developed a charismatic presence that instantly captivates any audience. Her passion for music and heartfelt interpretations make her the face and voice that embody Cadillac Soul’s emotion.
For Sonia, nothing compares to the direct connection with the crowd and the shared energy of a live show. Every performance is a chance to create genuine and memorable moments. Her expressive and nuanced voice breathes new life into the band’s songs, adding a personal touch that makes Cadillac Soul authentic and one of a kind.
Stéphane Gagné — Bass
A self-taught bassist for over 20 years, Stéphane built his musical identity drawing inspiration from the great classics of the 1970s such as CCR and Pink Floyd. His passion for bass and stage experience give him a rock-solid rhythmic foundation. Always attentive to the groove, he adds depth and balance to every piece, laying the groundwork for the band’s melodies.
Live, Stéphane shines through his consistency and steady rhythm, allowing his bandmates to fully express themselves. His playing, rooted in classic rock tradition, adds warmth and familiarity to Cadillac Soul’s sound. Though discreet, his contribution is essential, ensuring harmony and cohesion at every performance.
